If you’re looking for a nice and fun place to dine in Japan then we highly recommend the Hokkaido Menko Nabe Kuma-chan Onsen in Shibuya, Tokyo. This new hot pot restaurant is aimed at solo diners where each lone diner will be accompanied by a special companion – a cute little bear named Kuma-chan. Amusingly, the adorable dining-buddy is served along with your hot pot foodstuffs and ingredients. The idea here is to let your friend enjoy the moment by placing it in the heating pot and let it leisurely soak in the hot springs.

Having an adorable bear taking a dip in the hot springs while you dine sounds like the most pleasurable dining experience you could ever have. But that’s not exactly the case. The kawaii figure is the hot pot’s broth base in disguise. It is actually a gelatinized soup base which is cooked at the dinner table in a cooking pot. In other words, cute little Kuma-chan is a part of the meal because it is basically the broth itself.

While Kuma-chan slowly melts in heat, gently toss the ingredients in the broth to cook. Then all that’s left to do is wait and watch until poor little Kuma-chan completely melts and boils down into rich, savory soup.

The bear-shaped broth base comes in a variety of flavors including the all-time favorites bonito dashi, chicken, soy milk, spicy tantan, and Junmai Ginjo sake miso flavors. Apart from these traditional broths, the restaurant also offers seasonal special broth that changes throughout the year. The broth you pick determines the color of your bear which comes in white, brown, red, black, yellow, blue, green, purple, and more.

Edible art is now the trend in the pastry industry with more and more pastry chefs making desserts that look like works of art. Using the cake base as their canvas, they use colorful frostings to create intricate patterns and make edible sculptures that look too pretty to eat.

Wodnicki started diving into food art eight years ago when she decided to make her own wedding cake to save some money. Just by watching online tutorials, she learned how to make cakes and perfected it just in time for her wedding. She was able to make a four-tier chocolate cake that looks fairly simple but tasted delicious. And there was turning back for her since then.

After learning the basics, she was determined to learn how to make decorative cakes. She started making artistic creations inspired by flowers and plants. And when she discovered fiber art, she began dedicated her craft in making woven cakes.

Clark-Bojin creates the portrait using the pastry dough that goes on top of the pie. First, she draws the image on paper and cuts out the stencil. Then she molds the strip of dough using the paper stencil. She uses edible pigments to add colors and paint details on the portrait before she places it on top of the pastry. The Lunar New Year pie consists of appetizing pomegranate filling that lends its rich red color as a background for the portrait.

This year, the leading chocolate company unveils a new variant to add into its Kit Kat Duos line. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Hershey’s introduces the Strawberry + Dark Chocolate Kit Kat bar. The new flavor combo features the brand’s iconic crisp wafers covered in pink strawberry-flavored crème on top half and rich dark chocolate on bottom half. So, it’s basically our favorite chocolate-dipped strawberries in a candy form.

Handheld Wine Preservation System Allows You To Pour Wine Without Removing The Cork

Pour and preserve your favorite wines anytime, anywhere with this handheld wine preservation system. Once a bottle of wine is uncorked or opened, the liquor is exposed to oxygen which causes the contents to oxidize. When oxygen from the air dissolved into the wine, a chemical reaction speeds up the evolution process that drastically makes the liquor hit its peak of optimal drinkability. But once the liquor hits it prime, it will start to decline quickly afterwards. Therefore once you removed the cork from the bottle, you only have so much time to drink the liquor at its best. Even if you put back the cork on, the oxygen trapped in the bottle will further oxidize the wine which will result to loss of flavor and aroma, leaving it tasting flat or stale.

This handheld wine preservation system is specifically designed to let you pour wine without removing the cork. With the cork on, you can ensure that the remaining liquor in the bottle isn’t exposed to air. At the same time, you’re also preventing bacteria and mold in the air from entering that may further degrade the quality of the wine. This is why it is best to consume an uncorked wine the day you open it because the ‘leftover’ won’t be tasting as good as the first servings. But now you don’t have to worry about these things. This handy device ensures that your leftover is perfectly preserved inside the bottle even after many years.

Handheld Wine Preservation System

The handheld wine preservation system features a Teflon-coated wine needle that is inserted into the cork. The wine needle is specially designed to be gentle on the cork. So when you remove the needle, the cork reseals naturally to protect the liquor. The wine preserver device comes with 2 argon gas capsules. One of which is to be loaded into the unit’s capsule load cell. When the needle is inserted into the bottle, it introduces a very small amount of oxygen into the bottle. This is where the 100% food grade argon gas comes into play. The inert gas displaces any oxygen in the bottle to keep the wine tasting and smelling its best.

The Unit Includes 2 Argon Capsules

Using this handheld wine preservation system is so easy. First, twist the cap off the device and insert the argon capsule into the cap. Place the cap back into the device. Squeeze the clamps and place them around the neck of the bottle with the needle directly above the cork. Press the trigger on top to clear the unit of any air. Hold the bottle with one hand and use the other hand to push the unit down until the needle is fully inserted into the cork. Then tip the bottle with the spout towards the glass. Press and release the trigger to pour wine into the glass.

To remove the device from the bottle, place the bottle in upright position and hold the neck of the bottle with one hand. Use the other hand to pull the handle up to take out the needle from the cork. Squeeze the clamps and remove the device from the bottle. You can use the handheld wine preservation system to pour as many wines as you want, not just the one you have opened. So you and your guests can savor more types of wine in a single party. One argon capsule pours up to 15 5-oz glasses of wine. A customer review reads:

Pumpkin pie is out, Reese’s Pie is in! Hershey’s just unveiled a seasonal treat that is sure to become the biggest hit this coming Thanksgiving. We all know that pie is the dessert of Thanksgiving but this doesn’t mean you’ll have to stick with the traditional pumpkin pies or the classic apple pies.

So, how does a giant Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup sound to you? If you’re wondering how big this peanut butter cup is, it’s actually the size of a typical pumpkin pie. It measures 9 inches in diameter and weighs 3.4 pounds full of goodness. Hershey’s claim that this is the largest peanut butter cup to date. So, imagine getting a handful of solid peanut butter and chocolate in every slice.

Reese’s Pie

“Reese’s knows when you bring together friends and family for Thanksgiving dinner, no table spread is complete without a dessert – so we created the dessert everyone want a piece of. You can thank us later.”, the brand wrote.

The new Reese’s Pie is a limited edition offering created to make our Thanksgiving more exciting and sweeter. But here’s the catch – there were only 3,000 of these pies available for purchase. When the product was offered at Hershey’s online shop, it quickly sold out in hours, leaving many of us in utter dismay. It’s unlikely that the brand will be producing more of these as Thanksgiving is just around the corner. So, this means we have no other choice but to wait for another year and hope they’ll bring this back for Thanksgiving 2022.

You might want to ditch the classic pumpkin pie or the old-fashioned apple crisp this Thanksgiving. TikTok user @_ellagrace12 shares a sweet trick on how to make an appetizing dessert that looked too good to eat. Specially designed for Thanksgiving, the chocolate turkeys are what the name implies – mini desserts in the shape of our favorite Thanksgiving dinner centerpiece. So if you’re ready to make the cutest treat, prepare some strawberries, mini marshmallows, pretzel sticks, and melted chocolate.

First, create the turkey legs by inserting the pretzel stick into the marshmallow. Stick the legs on both sides of the strawberry with melted chocolate.
